DEUTERONOMY
These book is based on the 40 -day time span before Israel entered into the Promise Land.
Purpose of Writing: Was for the new generation to carry on after Moses. The new generation had not experienced Moses's supernatural Miracles, such as the parting of the Red Sea. So they had to rely on the law and stories. Yet the human desire to be like God, all powerful and all knowing, created pride instead of humility. Similar to the old generation, only few truly understood the value of a loving and vital Supernatural Being.

The commandments marked upon the hearts of the new generation was to be past on for generations to come. But to some they were just rules.
These commandments were not to be just mere words but a blueprint to live by to ensure a long life and success among their nation.
To Be Remembered:
God’s Faithfulness: Never Forget he is there in faith and not fear.
Warnings against certain conduct that causes corruption. The first chapters have been notated as a recap of their departure from Egypt.
Chapters 5 through 26 discuss Law. The Ten Commandments, the regulations and sacrifices as well as special days, and the rest of the commands are given to the new generation. Blessings are promised to those who obey (5:29; 6:17-19; 11:13-15), and famine is promised that did not follow the law.11:16-17).
The Verse To Remember
💖
Deuteronomy 6:4-5. [4] Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. [5] Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. "With" all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
In other words when you truly love someone you honor them by doing what they ask. Actions that bring good, not harm. This goes for The Entity greater than ourselves. Love is genuine, and out of respect.

This reveals that Moses role was great as he was lead supernaturally, Joshua had the guidance of an human which most likely strengthened Joshua’s faith having Moses as a role model that he could see and learn from on earth.
This chapter ends commending Moses. For he was the one that seen God face to face. Deuteronomy Chapter 34 verse, 11.
