GOOD FRIDAY (HAPPY EASTER)

                        KEEPING IT REAL

Keep It Personal

The Friday before the Crucifixion of Jesus is known as, Good Friday.

In this life there are many traditions, many celebrations and religions. However what should be most important about religion or faith based beliefs is its importance to us. What does Good Friday, or Easter mean personally. To some people who want nothing to do with religion or tradition, Good Friday, could mean absolutely nothing, and possibly for good reason if  the meaning of any religious belief was abused in their household. Nonetheless, everyone must come to terms with what the value or purpose of life means. Nothing last forever not even life here on earth. No one can define the expectations of death. We may have dreams or feelings concerning our final days on earth, but no can predict the future. The best that we can do is define what life means to us, in these precious moments in time.

As we continue to dive into Proverbs Chapter 5-7 the words of wisdom consume my thoughts.
The need for wisdom involving relationships, marriage, loyalty, and not keeping false promises is deeply focused on through the eyes of knowledge. Staying away from dishonest people, corrupt people, and sinister beings is deeply stressed throughout the scripture. Wisdom in Proverbs is the key to life and death.

Wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit. If we are expected to discern life for ourselves, how can we possibly do so without the understanding of what we will face in this world?
Everyone should have the opportunity to discern their faith on their own terms. Of course if you grew up in a household in which religion was the law, you may stray away from it when you become your own person, and this is understandable. Even though your parents may have taught you their way of life, you are still responsible for your own faithful journey in this life. After all, your parents, your pastor, your spiritual leaders, are only human. Having the freedom to define the meaning of  Easter, Good Friday, or any other beliefs you are aware of makes you unique. You don't owe an explanation for  your personal faith or experiences to anyone. Your walk with God, is YOUR WALK WITH GOD. Don't allow anyone to tell you differently. There is no certain way you should do something that was manufactured by someone greater than this earth.
we are all on our own spiritual journey, don't live you journey for- or through- someone else. You owe it to yourself to stay true to you and your personal journey.

As for me, what stands out the most is (Proverbs 6 vs. 6 Go to the ant you sluggard and consider her ways to be wise.)  The wording may seem a bit harsh, in regards to the word, "sluggard" and all, however to me, I feel that if I only have a short time here on earth, I want to be purposeful.and not sluggish or lazy.  I want to fulfill my destiny in life. I want to encourage those who I was meant to motivate. I don't want to spend time caught up in jealousy, gossip, envy, pride or anything else that is displeasing to an Immortal Force of Greatness. Now, because I'm only human, of course I have fallen short to all sorts of  temptation since birth, but as long as I finish strong, as long as I can strive toward a job well done, in all of my imperfections I will be at peace. The power of peace in mind, body, soul, and spirit is of great importance to me.

Do yourselves a favor this year and in the years to come, define what life,  Easter, Good Friday, and any other faith based belief  of wisdom; that promotes the freedom of love and individuality, according to your purpose here on earth. You are worth it! Please don't let anyone tell you differently.

Love,
