Memoir Of A Jaded Woman Tainted-Love

The amazing stories that many women have the courage to  share with me, led me to write about their obstacles in hopes that other women will find encouragement through their trials.

This article involves stories about women who have overcome heartache and unthinkable tragedies in life through the power of compassion. Their stories have been released in the mainstream women's book entitled, 'Memoir of A Jaded Woman,' By Author Emunah La-Paz.

Women juggle a lot in life. The demands of motherhood offers the fulfillment of loving a child. Many women have the responsibility of raising many children while holding down a career.
Some women who raise their kids, unknowingly look for an outlet in which they expect their children to fulfill their needs for self-esteem. Eventually the child grows up and breaks away in search of their own independence.
Some women look for self-esteem through their career, when disappointment sets in they loose their identity, a characteristic that was never fully developed from the start.
There are women who look for fulfillment through physical beauty, their idols are alter egos promoted through an illusion manifested by the media; and other women look for self-worth through broken relationships.
Perhaps the best source of fulfillment is through the understanding of your fellow women.

Some Women Fight For Everything Except Compassion. Who Can Forget Leah and Rachel? Two Sisters Separated Over The Desire For The Same Man.
Leah was the oldest daughter of Laban, a resourceful farmer, and Rachel was his youngest daughter.
At the time a man named Jacob was living with Laban. Jacob had fallen in love with
Laban’s youngest daughter Rachel, and desired to marry her.
Deceitful by nature, Laban veiled his oldest daughter Leah, who was unattractive.
according to Jacob’s standards.
When Jacob had found out that it was Leah underneath the veil instead of Rachel, he was upset. Laban explained that due to tradition the older daughter must marry first.
Nonetheless Jacob’s love for Rachel was strong, in which he agreed to work for Laban for seven years to have Rachel as his wife.
Once the agreement was fulfilled Rachel became Jacob’s most beloved wife. However the tension between the two sisters sharing one man was discomfiting.
This self-conscious feeling between the two sisters hindered their relationship.
How many times have we watched talk shows or reality shows which exploit women fighting over a men?
The public seems to take great interest in watching women turn on one another.

Ericka Overcomes Her Trials Through The Power Of  Kindness

When All Fails Practice Kindness

When Ericka married her husband Stephen, she dwelled on the perseverance  throughout the unsettling  relationship.

To spite the fact that Stephen did not provide the compassion that Ericka needed to feel a sense of appreciation in her role as wife and mother, Ericka continued to diligently raise their children in hopes of setting a positive example.

Yearning to elevate the action of dedication during her heartbreaking circumstances, Ericka fought to be a good mother out of respect for her children. However, through time, Ericka’s kindness was tested over and over, her husband’s abusive behavior finally reached the point of sheer exhaustion.
Inevitably, Ericka realized that her one way relationship did not reflect the kind of empathy, that she had wished for in return .

After spending years in a unhappy marriage Ericka realized that her kindness towards her husband was mistaken for weakness.

Most important, Ericka recognized that she had spent years invested in  a harmful relationship, to avoid her fear- of loneliness. Eventually, Ericka became aware that her peace of mind was what mattered the most.
Ericka made a bold move by freeing herself from the chains fear, she  divorced her husband.
Starting over turned out to be  liberating action, in which her new companion is peace, enriched in consideration.

When All Fails Practice Patience

Laura,  a striking woman with classic Marilyn Monroe, good looks, was used to being in control, a comfort that she never wanted compromised. However, her need to be self-sufficient- led her in the wrong direction early on in life.

Laura met her first husband at a bar. Her husband fearlessly approached her and Laura, liked this seemingly confident man.

As the relationship developed, Laura soon realized, that her confident man enjoyed partying and drinking, which sparked friction in their relationship.

In spite of Laura's patience to make her marriage work, the verbal and physical abuse, became intolerable.

Instead of investing patience into a relationship controlled by substance abuse, Laura made a faithful decision, and filed for divorce.
Laura decided to allow the power of  patience to faithfully take root in her life. The strength
of tolerance marked by endurance, led Laura into a meaningful relationship which did not uphold pride, abuse, or pain.

Laura's Advice: If a guy approaches you inside a bar, run to the other side of the room.
(Choose your relationships wisely by investing your patience, in the right relationships.)

When All Fails Practice Humility

Till death do us part, does not have to be a life sentence, not according to a stunning woman named Sherry, who adorned piercing-blue eyes, similar to that of the legendary film star, Bette Davis.

Sherry met her husband Barry at the American Legion Bar in Chicago.

Sherry was not interested in her husband to be at the time. Barry seemed to have issues in which Sherry could sense a mile away. Barry's determination to build a relationship with Sherry became a reality, in which the two were married and eventually, they  started a family.

The marriage was not what Sherry had envisioned and she was not -living the life she had imagined for herself. In her mind, Sherry & Barry were not meant to be.

Barry had a drinking problem which dominated the relationship to the point in which Sherry had to pack up the kids and leave, as she feared for their safety.

Sherry was faithful during this time in her life, she worked three jobs, to support her children. Through dedication, Sherry was able to raise her children, and through humility she was able to build a friendship with her estranged husband up until his death.

By the grace of Humility, Sherry was able to clothe herself with compassion for a man who had seemingly given up on himself. Humility can go a long way.

Sherry's Advice: Take charge of your own life.

Martha Overcoming Her Trials Through Gentleness

Martha knows that there are angles on earth which comfort those who are broken in spirit, for a lifetime.

Martha knows that there are angles on earth which comfort those who are broken in spirit, for a lifetime. Martha a glowing and energetic soul,  grew up in a small town enriched in strong moral values, her conservative lifestyle forced Martha to dress modestly during an era of mini-skirts and Go-go-boots.

There came a time when Martha was more than  ready to break free from the small town in which she was raised and. her built up tension from within, longed for independence.

Martha chased after this desire which led her into a relationship with a handsome man, who she referred to as the “Marlboro Man.

The good- looking gent swept Martha off her feet and into a whirl-wind romance, that was not meant to last.

Martha's Marlboro Man, had unfaithful streak which eventually drove her to the point of turning her rooster, into a hen. Martha  eventually divorced her untrustworthy husband, and married again.

Martha's next relationship was abusive, and self-destructive, the only good that came out of the relationship with her second husband, was the birth of their precious daughter.

Martha cherished the birth of her daughter, and watched as she grew into a beautiful and loving young girl, yet, through an unforeseen event, the life of Martha's young daughter along with a family friend ended abruptly, through a fatal shooting, initiated by Martha's estranged husband.

Martha shares that even though her daughter has passed on to heaven, her gentle spirit and sweet aroma is felt strongly throughout life here on earth.

Through the power of gentleness, Martha has learned how to stay strong through the gift of serenity.

Martha's Praise in the midst of sorrow: Psalm 30:11- You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.

Martha's understanding of gentleness is displayed through the following movie, "God's Not Dead"
