Rules And Regulations
Leviticus starts off with the Burnt offering. And of course this sounds very scary because offering surrounds sacrifice. Similar to the movies that are out there today such as Game of Thrones, ( Which does feature rather graphic and violent scenes. The undertone of some Biblical related subjects can be dated back to Biblical times. Nothing is new under the sun. Even in series such as Yellowstone, An updated western that foreshadows many scenes through Biblical reflections and symbolism. Which brings us to the first understanding of these rituals in Leviticus.

Leviticus in the Bible Project Series

What stood out to me is that there is no perfect man on earth. Even the attempt to separate the Israelites from others as a symbol of God's chosen people appeared to fail. Due to the fact that regardless of religious belief , background, or ethnicity, there is a human error that plagues us all and that is imperfection. Through my understanding God seems to take the long way with us humans, perhaps through His grace, he gives us the understanding that there is no perfect way to do anything and that is why we need his grace. Due to the judgement of this world, we need a power more than mankind to lift us out of our shame or fallen nature. A clean slate that does not judge our physical appearance or our status, which leads to the insecurity of man. Within the depth of insecurity lies jealously, and self-hate. Knowing that he offers pure love, God had to show the Israelites what caused harm in order for this tribe to accept what is good. We have to also remember that Israel had just came out of slavery. The understanding of a mind that has been oppressed for many years, is very difficult to change.
What The Israelites Endured
Due to the oppression some of the Israelites suffered from low self-esteem, the opportunities were not given to them freely in which the Egyptians had. Due to poverty they were subjected to rape and other forms of violence. Once freed, many Israelites began experiencing internalized oppression, in which many passed on the root of their pain to their offspring leading to generational curses. This generational curse would eventually cause them to wander for 40 years in the dessert until the bad generation died off. However not all generational curses die. Within one family unit their could be a child born free of any signs of oppression and yet another child that carries on the sins from the past. The history of oppression still lives on to date, and is a testament to the outcome of the world.
THE TURTH
Antwone Fisher sheds light on this very situation in which you can offer and present perfection in any manner, but the imperfection of man, can't carry out such rituals. Through Unyielding love from a source higher than ourselves comes the desire to serve from the purist form of the spirit.
The End of Leviticus
Vs. 34: These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mont Sinai.
Having to with a form of tithing and getting back what you put in under holiness.
I found this hard to grasp as most may view those times as a cult situation. And on the note of tithing, many struggle with giving as some churches have misused the funds to invest in personal gain. As we see some pastors stepping off of private jets wearing fine clothing and flashy jewelry. There is no doubt that back then perhaps some of the Levi's chosen ones designated to present these offerings abused the authority that they had. Yet this is what the book of Leviticus leaves us off, with Moses commanded to relay this message to the children of Israel.
There is no doubt that Moses had a supernatural understanding with God. And carrying out this message as he was much older in life, may have seemed understandable to him. Remember Moses had killed a man while trying to protect another man who was being abused. Moses fled to the dessert where he had plenty of time to reflect on his life and connect with God through prayer. It is said that Moses was around 80 years old when God asked him to free the Israelites, because of their prayers. So here is a man that had plenty of time to personal know God on a supernatural level. A man that is now asked to lead people who have not reached that level of understanding. Indeed this is a recipe for disaster. However if it were not for the life of Moses we would not have this outline on the knowledge of mankind to date.
